Murna Kristine Kingdon was born on June 28, 1942 and passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013.

She took her schooling in Tantallon. She worked at the hotel for her sister Lillian and Fred Clark and also at Paynter's Store for five years.

She married Grant Kingdon of Rocanville on October 12, 1963. They had two sons Everett and Thomas.

They lived in Tantallon and Rocanville and then Grant's work took them to Northern Manitoba. They lived in Thompson and Leaf Rapids where they enjoyed camping, fishing and canoeing as a family. They took many trips to the United States, New Mexico and many Canadian points of interest.

They returned to live in Tantallon in 1991.

Here she enjoyed being with family and friends again. Kristine was always great for having baking around and making sure her nieces and nephews were well cared for. She was always interested in their lives and especially the new babies that came into the family. She relished her faithful dog Rambo. She also took any excuse to baby-sit any of the family pets when needed. Kristine was an ardent Saskatchewan Roughrider fan and was thrilled to have gone to a couple of games. She won a set of tickets to a game, which started her rolling and then was really ecstatic when Grant surprised her with tickets to a game for her birthday. The family surprised her with a Roughrider birthday cake. These all made her day really special.

Everett and Juanita were married in Thompson on August 7, 1999. She was thrilled to have a grandson, Nathan Garnet. She doted on him like she had done with her nieces, nephews and their children. Juanita passed away and after her passing Nathan spent a lot of time with his Grandma and Grandpa in Tantallon enjoying their company and learning how to bake with his Grandma.

Kristine and Grant were enjoying their retirement with being able to pick up and go visiting or travelling whenever they wanted. They often met Tom for lunches and a visit when he was on the road.

Christmas and birthdays were always a special time for Kristine. She loved to make Christmas special and baked a birthday cake for everyone in the family.

Kristine belonged to a group called the "Birthday Girls." They enjoyed lunches on their special days and talked over all the news of each other's families.

Kristine had a heart operation in the spring of 2009 in Regina and enjoyed her next four years playing crib and visiting at coffee row until her sudden passing on February 12, 2013.

Kristine is predeceased by her parents Kris and Kristbjorg Johnson, Viloet and Brundur Breidfjord and Ken and Dorothy Kingdon; daughter-in-law Juanita; brothers Albert (Kay) and Konnie (Mary) Johnson, Siggi Breidfjord; sister-in-law Daisy Kingdon, brothers-in-law Fred Clark and Ross Goodman.
