William Fred (Freddy) Becker

Freddy Becker peacefully left us on February 25, 2015 after a stroke and two days in the Moosomin hospital.
The eldest son of Jake and Dora Becker was born on October 14, 1921 in the RM of the Gap (near Radville) on the home farm. He worked on the farm with his father and was later drafted into the Regina Rifles for WWII at the age of 20.
He married Ora Edith Bates of Readlyn, Sask. on October 15, 1946 and together they had four children. Fred made his choice to walk with God in 1954, a choice which became the major influence in his life and the life of his family. They farmed at Radville until March 1967 when they moved to Rocanville, Sask., along with Frank and Esther Becker and their family.
Ora passed away in 1991. Fred married Esther Munro on September 3, 1992 and they shared 23 years together.
Fred loved farming and he enjoyed and appreciated all his neighbours, friends and family.
