Clara Anne Maude Wilson, age 94 years, of Wawota died April 8, 2015.
She was born to Henry and Erma Zilm on October 20, 1920.

Clara went to school at Arundel finishing her Grade 11 and 12 by correspondence. She went to Normal School in Regina, then taught at McAuley, Cannington, Bellhouse and Wawota.

She had a close relationship with her students, their parents and fellow teachers.

Clara married Harold Wilson in 1942 and they lived on the farm south of Wawota, moving into town in 1966. She was an active member of the Wawota United Church and volunteered in many community events.

Clara found "great joy in living the adventure of life" as she took many trips with friends, relatives and family.

Clara is predeceased by her husband Harold, her son Neil and her son-in-law Greg Greenbank.

Left to celebrate her life are her son Kenneth (Ann); her daughter Lois; her daughter-in-law Lenna; her six grandchildren: Kevin (Melinda), Shannon (Dean), Tamara (Paul), Natalie (Evan), Kristy (Nathan) and Chad (Brittany); ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A celebration of Clara’s life was held on Monday, April 13 at 4 p.m. in the Wawota Town Hall with Roy Bortolotto officiating.

If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Wawota United Church, the Wawota cemetery or to a charity of your choice in memory of Clara.
