Doris Mae Husband passed from this earth Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Regina General Hospital after a brief stay in the Moosomin hospital.

She is survived by her five children: Donald and Loreen (Kroeker) of Dauphin, Man.; Cameron and Margaret (Limb) of Wawota, Sask.; Miriam and Kenneth Kerr of Stockholm, Sask.; Ruth and Gordon Goldsmith of Moosehorn, Man.; and Mark and Christina (Starnes) of Regina Sask.

Doris is also survived by her grandchildren and their families: Heidi and Ryan Fowler, Rhys and Hudson of North Weyburn, Sask.; Maria and Konrad Neumann and Mika of Winnipeg, Man.; Benjamin and Lisa Husband of Lethbridge, Alta.; James and Natasha Husband, Aaden, Aurora and Avery of Kennedy, Sask.; Rachel Husband and Clint Gottselig of Regina, Sask.; Beth Ann and Dave Ruecker and Jasper of Regina, Sask.; Serena Kerr of Stockholm, Sask.; Bana and Larissa Goldsmith of Saskatoon, Sask.; Thessalie and Aaron Yanke and Judy of Ashern, Man.; Davin Husband of Regina, Sask.; Aaron Husband of Regina, Sask.; and Ryan and Alicia Husband of Outlook, Sask. She is also survived by the children and grandchildren of her second husband Richard Reynolds: Carolyn and John McMillan of Kenosee Lake and their children Bonnie and Todd Baxter, Ronan and Canyon of Medicine Hat, Alta.; Malcolm and Suzanne McMillan, Madalyn and Connor of Vancouver, Washington; Jason and Andrea Stamm, Dawson and Jayvn, of Regina, Sask.; and Tammy McMillan, Chevy, Charly and Harley of Regina, Sask.; Stewart and Taralee McMillan, Siena, Jada and Karsyn of Brandon, Man.; Rick and Colleen Reynolds of Monroe, Washington and his children Rachelle (Nick) Elmendorf, Katlynn, and Jaylynn of Morgan, Washington; Chantelle Reynolds and Eliana, and Kyle Reynolds all of Monroe, Washington. Doris is also survived by her brother and sisters Don and Carol Lewis; Juanita Haven and Bonnie Buckallew, all of Kalispell, Montana; and Dorothy Long, of Missoula, Montana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband George Husband, and her second husband Richard Reynolds; her great-grandson, Eli Ruecker; her brothers Marion (Thelma) Lewis; Tommy Lewis; Roscoe (Valee) Lewis and Virgil (Melba) Lewis; sisters Pearl (Lloyd) Welty; Cleta (Chet) Haven; and Bernice (Clarence) Graves; her sister-in-law Lavina (D.H.) Perkins; her brother-in-law Dr. Bertram (Ruth) Husband; and brothers-in-law Clifford Long, Don Buckallew, Don Bryson, Jim White and Chet Haven.

George and Doris Husband met at Radville Christian College and after their marriage moved to the family farm west of Wawota where they spent 52 years mixed farming and raising their family. Doris had many interests during her life such as gardening, raising Arabian horses and black Angus cattle, bed and breakfast, singing, the Wawota museum, the Wawota thrift store, Wheels and Saddles horse club, and the Kitchen Utensils. Doris will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her generosity and kindness, her big and loving heart and her overflowing hospitality to everyone who crossed her path.

Doris’ legacy to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren is her example of the importance of family and a strong faith, both of which she modeled to her family so powerfully during her life.
