John "Burke" Fisher

John "Burke" Fisher, retired Air Canada pilot, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Burloak Longterm Care in his 89th year surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Beatrice of 65 years, and loving father of Cathy and her husband Jim Tangen, Robert and his wife Elyse, and Marion Remington and her husband Shawn de Swart. He was a proud grandpa of Christina, Kimberley, Gregory, Jacob, David, Jamie, Emilie and great-grandpa of Vivienne, Lily, Ryan and Connor. He was also the dear brother of Isobel Vaughan and the late May Barnes.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ont. with visiting one hour prior.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Burloak Longterm Care for their excellent and compassionate care.
