It is with great sorrow that we share the passing of Barry Walter Wilson, beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Barry grew up a Saskatchewan farm boy and loved the land and honoured those who worked it. He was a proud father and grandfather who never ceased to marvel at the joy his family gave to him.

Barry worked as a mail service courier for 38 years and five months. He was active in the union and helped people in many areas of his life.

Barry never met a book he didn’t want to read and passed this love on to his family. He was a man of honour and dignity and will be deeply missed.

Barry is survived by his mother Helen; his brother Ellary; his sister Mary and brother-in-law Rob. Barry is also survived by his wife Faith Swanson; his children Nicole (Eric), Rachel, and Cynthia (Mike); his grandchildren Logan, Taylor, Anna-Marie, Marshall, Madison and Amelie; and his step-daughters Allana (Igor), Danielle, and Morah.

Barry was predeceased by his father Ellary Walter Wilson and an infant brother.

A service was held at McInnis and Holloway (Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, Alta.) on Sunday, September 13, 2015.

If friends so desire, donations can be made to Renfrew Educational Services, 2050 21 Street N.E., Calgary, Alta. T2E 6S5.

In living memory of Barry Wilson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McInnis and Holloway Funeral Homes, Eastside, 5388 Memorial Drive N.E., Calgary, Alta. Telephone 1-800-661-1599.
