Emelia McLean, age 81, late of Regina, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Village on Wednesday, November 4, 2015.

She was predeceased by her parents William and Elsa Beutler; her husband Jack McLean; and brothers Paul and Teddy in childhood.

Emelia is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Dan) Keil; son John (Jill); granddaughter Katherine; sisters Martha (Otto), Edith, Emma, Freda (Harold), Bertha (Morley); as well as numerous neices and nephews.

Emelia was born in Wapella and moved to Regina in the 1950s. She loved music and sang in several different church choirs over the years. She had a great fondness for all animals and truly had a heart of gold. Most of the pets that she adopted were either strays or animals rescued from the Humane Society.

A memorial gathering was held at Lee Funeral Home, 3101 Dewdney Avenue, Regina on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 1 to 2 p.m. A private interment will be held at a later date.
