Cora May Louise (nee Keown), most recently of Guelph, previously of Caledon East. Mother passed away early on the morning of March 20, 2016 and now is at peace in the restful arms of The Saviour. Mom now joins her beloved husband of 66 years, Bill, and patiently waits to follow her daughter Ronda (Jim), son Brent and precious granddaughter Amanda (Jason).

Born on July 30, 1923 to Oscar and May Keown (nee Dolden) in Welwyn, Mom was always very proud of her Saskatchewan heritage as she was proud also of her valiant Armed Forces service in WWII. Mom was an avid crafter—a weaver, decoupage artist, needle worker, seamstress, painter, teddy bear and angel maker. Mom loved the time she spent cooking, baking and caring for her family and was also a wonderful gardener and a robust curler. Perhaps Mom’s biggest pleasure was her time spent with her wildlife friends—squirrels, chipmunks, frogs, rabbits, deer, raccoons, songbirds and ducks.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, Guelph. At Mom’s request there will be no visitation or service and cremation has already taken place.

Lovingly welcomed would be donations to The Canadian Wildlife Federation in memory of our darling Mother. Cards available at the funeral home at (519) 821-5077. Online condolences can be made at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
