Georgette Marcelle Baudu (nee Jacques) passed away at Wawota Deer View Lodge on April 9th, 2016 at the age of 82.

Georgette was born on May 19th, 1933 to Robert and Blanche Jacques. She was the third child and sister to Clara, Adrien, Rene, Ernie and Bert. Georgette grew up on their family farm near Dumas, and took her schooling in Dumas, Wauchope Convent and Ardine.

On August 23th, 1952, Georgette married Andre Baudu. Georgette and Andre farmed in Vandura for over 40 years. They raised two children, Rene and Leanne (Jackson).

Georgette loved the farm life, she was a big gardener who canned, pickled, blanched and froze countless amounts of veggies and fruit. She was a very good cook and baker who always had freshly made goodies ready to serve. She was an immaculate house keeper and loved crocheting for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In their younger years, Georgette and Andre enjoyed curling and visiting with their good neighbors. Georgette dearly loved all her siblings, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They were loyal sport fans to their grandchildren and loved watching all their sports.

Georgette is predeceased by her loving husband, Andre, of almost 50 years. She leaves behind her son; Rene (Shannon) and daughter Leanne (Chad), grandchildren; Remi, Chauntel, Shee, Tenille, Ashley, Renee, Kaela, Alexander, Dylan and Kaitlyn, great-grandchildren; Kinley, Raelyn, Bostyn, Addison, Logan, Knox, Andie, Berkley and Brock, brothers; Rene (Patsy), Ernie and Bert (Debbie), sister-in-law, Alice Chaput, many nieces and nephews. In memory of Georgette, if family or friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to: Wawota Cemetary Fund or Wawota Deer View Lodge. Arrangements entrusted to G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin, Saskachewan.
