It is with great sorrow that the Clelland and Gough families announce the passing of Beverly Ann Gough on Sunday, August 7th, 2016 at the age of 67 years in the Regina General Hospital.

She is predeceased by parents, Lloyd and Marjory Clelland, brother-in-law George (Helen) Gough, and sister-in-law Doreen Gough.

Left to mourn her loss with heavy hearts are husband Ben Gough, her two sons Brent and Brad Atkison; sister Lorraine (Ian) Toombs, Nephew Mark (Marnie) Morris and their children Jake and Luke; sister Brenda (Vern) Corbett, nephew Gregg (Meghan) Corbett and their children Nicolas and Owen, nephew Grant Corbett, niece Amanda Corbett; nephews Brad and Dean Gough; brothers-in-law Harlow (Doreen deceased) Gough, Bob (Shirley) Gough, Lorne (Sandra) Gough and Ron Gough, all of Spy Hill.

Beverly Ann Gough was born in Moosomin Union Hospital on April 12, 1949 to Lloyd and Marjory Clelland. She grew up in Fleming with two sisters, Lorraine Toombs and Brenda Corbett. She attended Fleming Public School and McNaughton High School in Moosomin, making many life-long friends. Bev obtained her Journeyman’s certificate for Hair Dressing in Regina and operated Sammie’s Salon in Moosomin for 15 years, making many more friends and acquaintances. Her two sons, Brent and Brad Atkison were very special to her. In 1984 Bev married the love of her life Ben Gough of Spy Hill. They built a home on the farm property with a spectacular view of the Qu’Appelle Valley, where they have lived for 32 years.

Throughout her life Bev had many interests. She was an avid gardener as evidenced by the beautiful garden that she and Ben maintained for years on the acreage. As keen photographers they photographed many of their flowers. Their photography extended to an interest in using the computer to store and view these and many other photos. Bev greatly enjoyed all types of music, with the organ being her favorite instrument for which she won an award. She enjoyed listening to Ben and his brothers’ jam sessions. Bev and Brenda worked together on numerous quilting projects. Bev loved to paint landscape scenes which increased her appreciation for nature.

Special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Moosomin Hospital and Regina General Hospital for the loving care they gave Beverly. The family would like to thank Shirley Stewart, Ben’s cousin, for using her nursing expertise to make Beverly comfortable and all the support she gave the family. We would also like to thank Darlene Paul for help and support she gave the family at the Regina General Hospital.

Donations in lieu of flowers to Moosomin and District Health Care Foundation.
