Philip Jackson (Phil) passed away peacefully at Wawota's Deer View Lodge on October 15, 2016 at the age of 90.

Phil was born May 22, 1926 at Brickyard House in Yorkshire England to Walter and Matilda Jackson.

Phil was the fourth oldest of the nine Jackson children, the last to be born in England and the youngest passenger on the ship when the family immigrated to Canada in 1927.

Phil married Margaret (Marg) Dennis September 4, 1952, and they raised four children of their own; Chad, Fae, Steve, and Scot.

Phil and Marg farmed north of Kelso, initially sharing a yard with Phil's parents until they bought the Thompson farm about two miles south in 1960.

Phil also worked roughly twenty years at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool in both Kelso and Fairlight. In October 2013 his health forced a move into Wawota where he lived in one of the low-rentals until he eventually had to move into Deer View Lodge in January of 2014.

Phil is predeceased by his parents, Walter and Matilda, his daughter Fae, his brothers; Eric, Herbert, Bill and sister Doreen, and sister-in-law Sharon.

Phil is survived by his children; Chad (Leanne), Steve, Scot (Deanne). Grandchildren; Remi, Shee (Blair), Ashley (Shane), Amy, Karlie and Quade. Great-grandchildren; Knox, Berkley, Andie and Brock. Brothers and sisters; Walter, Phyllis (Len), Harvey (Yvonne), Patsy (Rene). Sisters-in-law; Peggy and Murdina, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In memory of Phil, donations can be made to Wawota Deer View Lodge or Kelso Cemetery.
