Marguerite Isabel Renwick, of Brandon, passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Monday, April 8, 2013.

Marguerite was born on March 13, 1919 and raised at Mair, Sask. She married Thomas Renwick in 1940 and they farmed at Ryerson, Sask. for 20 years, moving to Brandon in 1960. They had four children, the first deceased at childbirth. She was a mother and homemaker and was employed for a few years at Sears in Brandon where she made many good friends.

Thomas and Marguerite enjoyed many holidays at Kenosee Lake where the highlights were fishing and Hoff family "gatherings."

She was a great cook, especially those famous fish fries. Mom and Dad loved travelling and took many bus tours, train trips and automobile trips throughout Canada and the U.S.A.

Mom was always very interested and supportive of all her family's activities and achievements, wanting to watch them participate whenever possible. As she spent more time at home, Marguerite became a faithful follower of Blue Jays baseball and competitive curling on television.

She also enjoyed playing cribbage at the Sokol Hall and ANAF and playing tile rummy with her friends from Hobb's Manor. She looked forward to Sunday morning Mass followed by breakfast with her family.

Marguerite is survived by her three children Lynn (Ron) Bohrn of Medicine Hat, Alta., Joan (Al) Merko of Brandon, and Jim (Bev) Renwick of Brandon; eight grandchildren: Darlene (Mike) Fernetti, Janette (Chad) Stahl, Blaine Bohrn, Brian (Kate) Bohrn, Brent (Laura) Bohrn, all of Medicine Hat, Steve (Carla) Merko of Edmonton, Alta, Dave Merko (fiancée, Natasha Bradley) of Saskatoon, and Krista Renwick (Shane Levesque) of Winnipeg; ten great grandchildren and one great-great-grandson as well as brothers Dave (Margaret) Hoff of Weyburn, Danny (Alice) Hoff of Lethbridge, and sisters-in-law Pauline Hoff of Weyburn, and Mary Berry-Hill of Penticton, B.C.

She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Renwick; infant daughter; brothers Harry Hoff and Bob Hoff as well as sisters Dorothy Thompson and Bernie Silvius.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 12, 2013. Rev. Fr. Kevin Smith was Celebrant. Her grandchildren served as pallbearers and scripture readers. Interment followed at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined.
