Jon Egill Ingjaldson son of Egill and Sigga (Stefanson) Ingjaldson, was born on June 26, 1928 at home ofnthe north west quarter of section 6-13-31 west of the first meridian. He grew up and lived most of his life here, until he moved into the seniors' residence in Tantallon.

He passed away in Moosomin Hospital on Saturday, November 19, 2016.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers-in-law, Einar Johnson, Henry DeCorby and Art Perrin; sister-in-law Doreen Ingjaldson; and niece Joanne Weiss.

He farmed for most of his life, and was very much involved throughout his time with many community organizations.

August 16, 2003 Holar All Stars baseball team was inducted into the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame at Battleford. Jon was a member of the team from the start and when we were all at the Hall of Fame he donated his uniform to the Museum and it is still there.

Jon was accepted by Edythe's family as Grandpa to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his quiet manner of getting things done, he never was one to get upset with the young ones. They were so happy to be with him, as he would always be there to keep them happy and enjoying life.

He is survived by brother Johann (Hilda) of Moosomin, sisters Doreen Johnson of Churchbridge and Finna DeCorby of Spy Hill; many nieces and nephews; and also, by dearest friend Edythe Cowan and her family.
