Rita Beauchesne, of Wawota, beloved wife of the late Lucien (Shorty) Beauchesne passed away at Deer View Lodge, Wawota on Tuesday May 1, 2018 at the age of 98 years.

Rita was born to Claudemir and Valeda Giroux of the Dumas district. After her marriage, she and her husband, Lucien (Shorty) lived on the farm at Dumas until 1955 when they purchased the John Deere dealership in Wawota. They raised a family of five children.

She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Shorty. Rita outlived all of their siblings and spouses.

She leaves to celebrate her life five children: Anita (Doug) Cudmore, Richard (Carrol) Beauchesne, Lauraine (Joe) Weatherald, Dennis (Vickie) Beauchesne, Wanda (Jim) Roberts; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as a large extended family.

Funeral Service was held in the Wawota Town Hall on Friday, May 11 at 1:30 P.M. with Fr. Felipe Faustino officiating.

Arrangements were in care of Carscadden Funeral Chapels. Interment followed in the Dumas Cemetery.
