The family of Arthur Preston sadly announces his passing at the South East Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the age of 98 years.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents Alfred and Kate Preston; brothers Robert, Thomas (Tommy), and Albert.
He leaves behind his wife of over 70 years, Margaret; daughters Mary MacDonald (Dave), Virginia Preston, Peggy Preston, Frances Brady, Karen Peddie (Reed), and Leila Christ (Bill); grandchildren Theresa Olson (Darcy), Scott MacDonald (Amber), Britton MacDonald (fiance Kelly James), Harley Kaczmarski (Kelly), Geoffrey Austin (Sue), Joseph Brady (Shaina), Owen Brady (Colleen Derksen), Jessica Brady (Stewart Boyd), Christie Peddie (James Hislop), Brandon Peddie, Kali Christ, Keegan Christ; great-grandchildren Conrad and Preston Olson, Spencer and Noah Austin, Brea and Brendon Kaczmarski; sisters Edith Boehmer, Agnes Smith, and Margaret Clark.
The funeral service was held at G.R. Carscadden Funeral Chapel, Moosomin on Saturday, June 15 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Joan Rennie-Laing officiating. Interment took place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception was held following the interment at the Moosomin Masonic Lodge No. 7 with the luncheon provided by the Masons.
