Darwin Minty passed away on July 3, 2013 at the age of 57 after a short battle with cancer at the South East Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin.
Darwin was born in Moosomin to Lloyd and Eileen Minty, and lived in Rocanville for most of his life.

He was one of six children and also a twin. He went to Rocanville school and after graduating lived in Regina for five years, returning to Rocanville in 1981 to work at PCS where he worked for 31 years.

Darwin married Teresa in May of 1982 and raised three children, Kailey, Brennan and Sean.

Farming was very much a part of Darwin's life, he loved his, what he called, "hobby farm." He enjoyed being outdoors, working the land and raising cattle. He couldn't wait to retire at 55 to spend more time enjoying the things he loved, farming, camping and quading. Many hours were spent with family and friends quading in the Qu'Appelle Valley and on quad derbies. Family was very important to Darwin, he was very proud of his three children and also his seven grandchildren: Keagan, Dawson, Nate, Corbin, Abby, Koby and Macy. He had many sleepovers with grandchildren who often shared his bed.

Darwin was predeceased by his father Lloyd Minty and nephew Chad Bigelow. Also by Teresa's father and mother, George and Winnie Palmer.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Teresa; his children Kailey (Aaron), Brennan (Breanne) and Sean (Lea); seven grandchildren; his mother Eileen Minty; his brothers and sisters; Dale (Valerie), Ardena (Bruce), Brent (Darlene), Glen (Marsha) and Maureen (Randy), Aunt Hilda and Uncle Roy and many cousins, as well as many in-laws on the Palmer side.

A beautiful funeral service was held at the United Church in Rocanville on July 9, 2013 with Rev Dawn Wilson officiating. Interment to follow at a later date.

Donations may be made in honor of Darwin to South East Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin.
