Pete was born October 8, 1934 in Maryfield, Sask. He was born and raised on the family farm along the Pipestone Creek. He was the youngest of three boys raised by Edna and Bill McIndoe. There he attended McNaught School which was a ¼ mile from the family farm.

On February 22, 1964 Pete married Joyce Sample. Over the following years they were blessed with three daughters and one son. Together Pete and Joyce put their heart and soul into the farm until their retirement in 2001. In 1990, the McIndoe’s hosted a family reunion at that farm where they received The Century Farm Award. In 2004, they moved off the farm into the town of Maryfield where they continued to enjoy gardening and being with family.

Pete enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, curling bonspiels and socializing. Pete also belonged to the Maryfield Volunteer Fire Department for many years. During his retirement he enjoyed being a part of the beautification committee and going to coffee row at the Drop-in Center to visit with good friends.

Pete passed away peacefully June 17, 2019 at the age of 84 in the Moosomin Southeast Integrated Care Centre with Joyce by his side.

Pete is predeceased by his father and mother, William and Edna McIndoe, brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Jean McIndoe, son-in-law Doug Wight (Sherry), sister-in-law Lorraine Herberholz and brother-in-law Lawrence Sauer.
