Fred was born on January 12, 1936 to Albert ad Lila Addison in the Cherry Grove district near McAuley, Manitoba, the second of seven children. He passed away on December 5, 2019 in his 84th year.

Fred worked for various farmers in the McAuley and Welwyn area until he and Linda purchased the family farm in 1965. He married Linda Jamieson in 1959. They had four children Deb, Gail, Dale and Colleen. They lived and worked on the farm until moving to Moosomin in 2012.

He was predeceased by his son-in-law Grant Crellin, grandson Derek Crellin, sister Myrtle, brother Alex, sisters-in-law Ev, Donna and Judy, brothers-in-law Don and Harvey.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Linda; his children Deb Crellin, Gail (Wayne Grose), Dale (Betty) and Colleen (Garth Soder) grandchildren Krista (Devon Taylor), Dean (Alaina) Crellin, Kayla (Jared) Miller, Travis (Bretten) Grose, Tanner (Brittany) Grose, Amy Addison and Aaron Addison; great-grandchildren Avery, Evann and Eliette Taylor, Olivia, Corben and Camden Crellin, Elodee, Ayda and Kallum Miller, Jhett and Krew Grose. He is also survived by his sisters Marg, Irene, Gladys and Carol (Ralph), brothers-in-law Fred, Pat (Jan) and Tim and by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Fred loved his cattle and horses and spent hours with them. He enjoyed a visit and a drink with friends and neighbors. A real joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would ride them around on his shoulders or on hands and knees giving wild horseback rides. He also loved to tease or scare them!

Maybe he scared you too!

He will be missed.
