Patricia Emma Nightingale (nee Banman) of Esterhazy, Saskatchewan passed away June 29, 2019 at Esterhazy, Saskatchewan at the age of 81 years.

She was born February 22, 1938, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, but most of her years growing up were at Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan, including her high school graduation. She worked in Saskatoon at the Federated Co-op head office for about five years before marrying John Nightingale of Okla, Saskatchewan, on May 6, 1961. She worked at home as a wife and mother of their three children in: Wawa, Ont., Esterhazy, Sask., Fraser Lake, B.C., Saskatoon, Sask., and Elliot Lake, Ont. Outside the home, her involvements included bowling for many years, volunteer work with the Esterhazy Hospital Auxiliary, and initiating or continuing Friendship Bible Coffee ministries in various locations.

She was predeceased by her mother Eva Wiens, her sisters Sheila Bourgonje and Reany Dmitriw and her daughter-in-law, Brenda (Christian) Nightingale.

Surviving are her husband, John A. Nightingale, daughter Merle (Michael) Ross, sons Brent (Charlene) Nightingale and Brad (Nyla) Nightingale, 10 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, brother Zolden “Manny” Banman, sisters Buela Gabriel and Jacqueline Fontaine.

The funeral service was held July 16, 2019 from Esterhazy United Church with Leon Fontaine officiating. Interment followed in the Esterhazy Cemetery.

Pallbearers were grandsons Parker Nightingale, Joel Ramshaw, Jesse Ramshaw, Joshua Ramshaw, Greg Nightingale, and Caleb Nightingale. Honorary Pallbearers were her grandchildren.
