Muriel Agnes Strong, aka Bunny, was born September 2, 1925 to Melvin and Barbara Bartleman in Moosomin Hospital. They lived at Eden Grove district south of Wapella until 1928 when they moved in the winter to the Elgin District east of Moosomin.

Mom worked at the creamery in Moosomin following her schooling until she got married.

Dad and Mom met at a dance in Moosomin. They were married November 27, 1947 in Moosomin and farmed in Prosperity School District until the fall of 1957 when they moved to town due to Dad's many allergies.

To this happy marriage they were blessed with fivechildren; Mel, Ann, Brenda, Brian and Jim.

Mom lived in her own home until 1998 when she moved into Prairie View Lodge. In 2007 due to failing health she moved to Broadview House and lived there until she moved to Grenfell Pioneer Home on June 28, 2013 where she lived until her passing on July 28, 2013.

Mom enjoyed attending her children's school, church and sports activities. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion, and a member of the United Church Choir. Her many hobbies included knitting, cross stitch, crocheting sewing, gardening, camping, listening to music and visiting with relatives and friends.

During the summer as a family we attended many a sports day to watch Kendalton play ball.
Dad and Mom went on many camping trips with Aunt Joe, Uncle Jack Fergusson, Aunt Inez and Uncle Dave Clay.

Mom leaves to mourn: two sisters-Inez Clay and Joe Fergusson; Five children-Mel, Ann (Ken) Hagen, Brenda, Brian (Darlene) Strong, Jim (Denise) Strong; Seven grandchildren-Blake (Kira) Hagen, Rick (Ashley) Hagen, Jill (Lawrence) Gall; Zach and Becky Strong; Lance and Shane Strong; Five great-grandchildren and one which was born on Tuesday.

Mom was predeceased by: Husband John; Sisters Evelyn Feader and Marjorie Morley and brother Roy Bartleman.

Funeral service was held on July 31, 2013 in St. Paul's United Church, Rocanville, with Dawn Wilson officiating. Interment was at Webster Cemetery.
