Ervine Garnet Johnston born January 21, 1942, died peacefully at home in Sherwood Park, Alberta on February 20, 2021 at 79 years old.

Ervine’s passions were faith, family, friends and farm. He was an active member of Parkland Bible Church, a Board Member of Kenosee Lake Bible Camp for around 40 years and Councillor for the RM of Silverwood.

Ervine was predeceased by his first wife of 54 years, Marilyn Anna (Broughton), his son Ervine Craig, his parents, Jessie and Ervine and brothers, Don, Patrick and Bob.

Ervine leaves behind to mourn him, his wife, Violet Johnston, and children Craig, Karl (Mashal), Cheryl (Kelly), Tracy (Scott), Esther (Greg); his Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, his sisters Doreen, Eva, brother Leslie and their families and numerous extended family. Ervine also leaves behind his stepchildren Shannon (Russell), Dawn (Joseph) and their families.

Thank you to those who prayed, showed us much kindness, love and support during this difficult period. We would especially like to thank Dr. Trent Dusang and the Palliative Care Team for their excellent care at home during his illness.

A Memorial will be held Friday June 11, 2021. Place to be determined with restrictions at that time. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Langbank Rec Board at PO Box 78 Langbank SK, S0G 2X0.
