Donald Clark Strong, beloved husband of Phyllis Strong passed away at the South East Integrated Care Centre, Long Term Care, Moosomin on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the age of 91.

Donald was born on the family farm, in the Prosperity District, west of Rocanville January 3, 1931 to Clark and Olive (Christian) Strong. He attended Properity School.

Donnie spent two winters working in B.C., then returned to Saskatchewan to farm.

Donald and Phyllis (Knuttila) were married July 22, 1955. Their children, Brent and Tammy, were raised on the family farm where Donnie grew up.

Donnie loved farm life, calves in the spring and crop checking in the growing season. He had a great interest in wildlife and nature, watching and waiting for the birds to return in spring. Fishing, hunting, baseball, dancing and time at the lake were enjoyed with family and friends.

Memories were made on trips to Jan Lake, Weslaco Texas, Ontario and B.C.

Moving to Rocanville in 1988 Donnie maintained farm activities well into retirement.

Donald was predeceased by his parents Clark and Olive Strong; parents-in-law Elmer and Impi Knuttila; sisters-in-law Jean (Larway), Irene (Knuttila), Shirley (Wotton); brothers-in-law Ross Fergusson, Larry Knuttila, Leslie Knuttila, Keith Knuttila, Stanley Knuttila, Albert Wotton, Joe Owens and nephew Kerry Knuttila.

Donnie leaves to mourn his loving wife Phyllis of 66 years. Son Brent (Christine); Clark (Kyla) Strong, Donny; Karen (Jeremy) Chevrier, Blair, Regan, Quinn; Amanda (Jesse) Godwin, Hudson, Liv. Daughter Tammy Vizer; Andrew (Jamie) Vizer, Kayleigh, Loralie, Victoria, Andrew; Tiffany. Sister Gayleen Owens of Abbotsford, B.C., brother Ross (Helen) Strong of Kelowna, B.C., in-laws Colleen Knuttila, June Knuttila, Barb Knuttila, Ruby and Arnold Luoma, Cecil and Lynn Knuttila, Marilyn and Gordon Knuttila, Cal Larway, and many nieces and nephews.

A service for Donald will be held March 23, 2022 in Moosomin at Carscadden Funeral Chapel at 1 pm with Reverend Barbara Wilkens officiating.
