Cyclist killed in highway accident Sunday

A cyclist was killed in a highway collision near Burrows on Sunday.

Around 10 am Sunday, Moosomin RCMP received a call regarding the collision.

The collision between an agricultural tractor and a bicyclist took place on Hwy #1 east of Burrows.

A lone, 34-year-old male cyclist was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The name of the victim is not being released at this time as efforts to notify next-of-kin continue.

This investigation is ongoing with the assistance of RCMP collision analysts and the Coroner’s Office.

The eastbound lanes were closed for part of the day on Sunday following the accident.
