Margaret Frances O’Greysik passed away peacefully with her family by her side September 11, 2018 at the South East Integrated Centre in Moosomin, Sask., in her 100th year.

Mum was born Margaret Francis Young May 26, 1919 on the farm in the Stanley District south of Fleming. She took her schooling at the Stanley School and Moosomin.

She worked at numerous jobs locally until she married Thomas O’Greysik April 18, 1942 when she became a full time wife and mother settling near Elkhorn, Manitoba.

She was predeceased by her parents Richard and Emma Young; sister Doris Feader; brothers Cecil and Alvin Young. Sisters-in-law Marg and Lorna Young, sons Wesley and Joseph O’Greysik and niece Jeannie Feader.

She is survived by sons Dale and Linda O’Greysik, Gerry and Debbie O’Greysik, Lynn O’Greysik and Randy and Allana O’Greysik, daughters-in-law Pat and Gail O’Greysik. Ten grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral took place at the Elkhorn United Church September 18 with interment in Elkhorn Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Elkwood Manor for the wonderful care mother received while in their care.

We would also like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at the Moosomin Hospital for the care and compassion in mother’s final days.
