It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Doreen Myrtle Onofrichuk, age 79, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on the evening of Tuesday, October 12, 2021 with family by her side at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre, Moosomin. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle soul. She was loved by her family and she loved them right back.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents Donald and Myrtle Mckechnie. Doreen was born December 3, 1941 as the seventh child of the family in Moose Jaw. She was raised in Cardross, Saskatchewan. It was there that she met Arthur Onofrichuk and the two were married on April 15, 1960 in Kayville. While dating the two would drive all over looking for somewhere to dance. In 1970 they built a house in Ormiston, then later moved it to their farm they purchased in Rocanville in 1979; she resided there until her passing. They were married 61 years. She and Art enjoyed golfing; they hit quite a few golf courses over the years. She was an amazing crocheter and spent many hours crocheting many beautiful dollies. She decorated wedding and birthday cakes, and she always planted an amazing big garden every year. She and Arthur liked to travel when time allowed; they travelled to Ontario, Alberta, B.C., Montana, Moose Jaw for the spa, and many trips to Portland to visit their son and family. Doreen loved her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews and talked about them with fond memories. She and Arthur raised five children, had 18 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Their first daughter, Connie (Darrel) Rushinko and three sons and their families, Travis (Casandra), Tayler, Arthur, Ameila; Tyson (Hayley), Hayden; Dustin.

Second daughter, Annette (Paul) Selby and their family Amanda (Jeff), William, Charlie; Thomas (Kelsey); Elizabeth (Jason), Addison; James (Alice), Kyle.
