Nicholas Mass of Ninette charged with second degree murder

A second-degree murder charge has been laid by Killarney RCMP in murder of 61-year-old Catherine Mass of Ninette.
On Friday, March 12, 2021, at approximately 9:00 am, Killarney RCMP attended a residence in Ninette, Manitoba, to check the well-being of a female.
Officers attended and located a 61-year-old woman deceased inside.
A 22-year-old male was arrested at the scene.
Nicholas Mass has been charged with Second Degree Murder and was remanded into custody.
Catherine Mass, the murder victim, was an accomplished artist and community volunteer who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and was well-loved and respected in the community.
Killarney RCMP along with RCMP Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
