Daycare update at Chamber meeting May 19

The next Moosomin Chamber of Commerce Meeting is set for Tuesday, May 19.
There’s lots on the agenda.
Playfair Daycare will give an update on a fundraising campaign they have launched in their final push to raise money for the new 90-spot daycare under construction in Moosomin. They will also give an update on how construction is progressing on the new building.
Walk for Alzheimers
Rene Whelpton will be encouraging people to take part in the Moosomin Alzheimer Walk on Saturday, May 30. Last year Moosomin raised over $68,000 and was the second largest walk in the province. This year, an anonymous donor has committed to matching the first $50,000 in donations. Whelpton will be encouraging businesses to get involved in the walk.
Bulls & Broncs
Chelan Dequier will be talking about plans for the Moosomin Bulls and Broncs weekend on Saturday, July 11. The roughstock event will take place along with other events that day, including the Chamber of Commerce Parade.
Town-wide garage sale, community cleanup and Communities in Bloom
Angela Thorn will be talking about the town-wide garage sale on May 30, and the Moosomin Community Cleanup on June 4.
She will also be giving an update on Communities in Bloom plans. The town of Moosomin will be competing nationally again this year and the judges will be in Moosomin on July 21 and July 22.
The meeting will start at 11:45 am at the Canalta Hotel. Lunch is served and everyone is welcome.
