The McNaughton High School Senior Drama cast and crew had an outstanding showing at the Provincial Drama Festival the weekend of May 2 in Moose Jaw.
Even making it to Provincials is a significant accomplishment in itself.

Over 60 plays competed across the 11 Regions this year, with only 12 plays from seven regions advancing to Provincials. There wasn’t a Region 1 festival this year, of which Moosomin is a part, so Moosomin opted to attend Region 5 Festival in Balgonie.

McNaughton High School’s production of “The Pitch” earned Best Technical Production and was named Runner-up for Best Overall. Additionally, Kane Dodds and Phoemela Mactal received Certificates of Merit for Acting, while Mya Fidelak and Julia McConnell received Certificates of Merit for Stage Management. Phoemela Mactal was also selected as the McNaughton High School recipient of the Debbie Baker Cheer Award, awarded to a student who exhibits the qualities of co-operation, honest endeavor, enthusiasm, and respect.

Miller Comprehensive Catholic High School of Regina earned Best Overall honours for their production of The Price.
The Directors of “The Pitch” were Sherrie Meredith, Tannis Schwean, and Chace Bock.
