The May meeting of the Moosomin Chamber of Commerce is coming up Tuesday, May 28.

Education Minister Jeremy Cockrill will join chamber members for the Chamber meeting that day.

McNaughton High School will make a presentation to Chamber members on a fundraising campaign for renovations to the school.

The Southeast Cornerstone School Division had applied for $10 million in provincial funding for a renovation of McNaughton High School under a new provincial program. That application was not accepted for the current budget year, and the school has decided to move forward with a smaller renovation project with community support.

The plan will be presented at the May Chamber meeting.

Tim Hortons Moosomin will make a presentation to Play Fair Daycare at the meeting.

Borderland Co-op will make a presentation to the Moosomin Visual Arts Centre at the meeting.

There will be discussion of events coming up June 1 in Moosomin, including the town-wide garage sale and Visual Arts Centre Makers Market.

Chamber members will also hear from Immigration Consultant Ailyn Silanga, who has set up an immigration consulting business in Moosomin, and is working with employers and new Canadians.

The meeting is set for 11:45 am Tuesday, May 28 at the Canalta meeting room. Lunch is provided.
