
Gordon was born on May 7, 1949 to Leroy and Phyllis Sweet in Moosomin, Sask.
Gordon leaves to mourn his loving family: his wife of 50 years (Lyla) Gwen (Ivey) Sweet; two children: Gaylene, Greg and (Cathy) Sweet, two grandchildren: Hannah Sweet and Brayden Sweet; brother Allan (Marilyn) Sweet, sister Myrna Sweet (Barry) Kenny, and other family and friends.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents Leroy and Phyllis Sweet.
Gordon spent most of his life traveling the highways in Canada and the United States for Arnold Bros., Heyl, Rocky Mountain Farm Equipment, Carson Pipelines and Kentrax.
When he wasn’t on the road long haul driving, he farmed in the Moosomin area as well as hauled gravel for the two RMs around Moosomin.
He loved spending time with family and friends right up until his passing.
He enjoyed talking about music, vintage farm equipment, old stories and Kenworth semi trucks.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Kerkhoff and the staff of the Southeast Integrated Care Centre for the care Gordon received.
