
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Myrtle Mary Kingdon (née Miles), formerly of Tantallon, Saskatchewan, who passed away peacefully at Esterhazy, Saskatchewan on March 7, 2024.
Myrtle was born in Hartlip in the County of Kent, England on April 7, 1918 and came to Canada as a War Bride in 1946.
Myrtle is predeceased by her beloved husband Bernard Ray Kingdon and young son Geoffrey Miles Kingdon.
Myrtle is survived by her half-sister Anthea Kitchingham of England and her children Mark and Anna; son Barry (Marion) Kingdon; granddaughter Jennifer Kingdon and her children Kennet and Emma Hoberg; grandson Jason (Holly) Kingdon and their children George and Elouise; daughter Judith (Roger) Perry; grandson Geoffrey (Carrie) Perry and their children Justin and Alicia; grandson Graham (Julie) and children Alex and Amelia; granddaughter Tricia (Dwayne) Pederson, and their children Danaka and Jayden; daughter Catherine (Pat) Johnson and grandson Nolan Johnson.
Myrtle’s family would like to extend their appreciation to Elaine Tocher and the staff at the Esterhazy Maple Street Manor, and to her close friends and neighbours on Lake Street in Esterhazy, as well as her extended family and relatives and many friends in the Tantallon district.
Appreciation is also extended to the healthcare professionals in Esterhazy.
