Francis Leroy Sheard, age 90, of Maryfield, Saskatchewan passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Deer View Lodge Wawota, Saskatchewan.
Francis was a long-time farmer in the Maryfield area and in retirement spent time RVing with his wife, Bev, as they traveled Western Canada visiting family, friends and attending Silhouette matches. When life slowed down, Francis and Bev moved into the Sunrise Villa in Maryfield. Last summer, following health issues, he relocated to Deer View Lodge in Wawota.
Francis is survived by brothers John and Alex; children Sharron, David and Sandra; grandchildren Kristine and Kaitlin; many cousins, most notably, Judy; nieces Kelly, Laura, Angela, Ilona, Louisa and Mary; and nephews Bill, Garth, Grant, John, Wayne and Jack.
Those who knew him will remember his smile, his humour and his sweet tooth. Others may recall his consistency on the shooting range and his tenacity in making water flow.
Later this year, a celebration of all things Francis will be held in Maryfield.
