Dennis passed away peacefully with family by his side on Dec. 5, 2013 in his 68th year at Moosomin Southeast Integrated Care Centre.
A service of thanksgiving and celebration for the life of Dennis was held at McAuley, Man. with Reverend Delta Kelly officiating. Interment was held at McAuley Cemetery.
Dennis was predeceased by his son, Gary, parents George and Bertha Lewis, his sister Gladys (Garth) Gerrand and brother Huntley. Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 47 years, Paulette, daughter Suzanne, son-in-law Shawn, adored grandson Spencer, his sister Phyllis (Orville) Harper, sisters-in-law Joan Lewis, Ferne (Armande) Carignan, Madeline Prive, Yolande Bourlon, Liliane Bourlon, Henriette Bourlon, Paulette Bourlon and countless nieces and nephews.
Dennis was a stand up guy who did the right thing whether it got noticed or not . . . a man with strong convictions and a tender heart. The fact that Dennis left behind a place that cannot be filled is a high tribute to him. Life can be the same after a trinket has been lost, but never after the loss of a treasure.
