Kenneth Allan “Ken” Miller, age 66, passed away suddenly on June 15, 2025, at his home by the lake.
Ken was born on December 28, 1958, in Moosomin, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Rocanville. As a young boy, he spent countless hours after school working at “the shop”—Miller Farm Equipment—learning the value of hard work and developing the practical skills that would shape the rest of his life.
Ken embraced every season of his youth. Winters were filled with snowmobiling and skating, while summers brought the joys of motorbikes, lake days, and helping out on the farm. These early years helped shape Ken into the hardworking, generous, and capable man he became.
In his early adulthood, Ken moved to northern British Columbia, where he worked in and around Fort St. John as a heavy equipment operator, building roads for Pickle Construction. He was known for his steady hand and strong work ethic.
Eventually, Ken returned to Saskatchewan, where he met his partner, Adele. Together, they built a life at Round Lake, settling into a home surrounded by nature and peace. Ken loved to keep busy—whether it was building, woodworking, or lending a hand wherever it was needed. He was incredibly handy, and his quiet generosity left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Ken especially enjoyed working with young people, and the youth at KBI near Manor thought the world of “Uncle Ken.”
Ken’s life was not without its challenges, and he faced them with honesty and courage. He became a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, where he found strength, support, and valuable friendships which remained important to him throughout the years. Ken just recently celebrated 18 years of sobriety. His journey was one of resilience, growth, and quiet determination.
Ken is lovingly remembered by his partner, Adele; his mother, Gloria Miller; and his sisters Kelley Gardner, Barb Miller-Hodges (Doug), and Rae Miller-Denton (Brad), his aunt Karen Miller (Vic), uncles Ron Perreault, Jack Perreault as well as his nephews Derek, Dustin, Jason, Steven and Michael, and nieces Charity, Kristin, and Lindsay. Ken is fondly remembered by Adele’s siblings, Sheryl Garrett (Hal), Donna Paul (Brian), Brian Kennett (Lorna), Marilyn King (Darren), Daren Kennett (Shannon), as well as numerous Kennett nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Gerry Miller, in 2010; his brother, Kevin in 2010; and his brother-in-law, Glen, in 1988.
Ken will be remembered for his kind spirit, quiet humor, strong hands, and generous heart. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the things he built, and the memories his family and friends will hold dear.
A celebration of Ken’s life will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 11 am at Rocanville Webster Cemetery with lunch to follow at the Nutrien Hall.
