On June 14, 1940, Clifford (Cliff) was born on a farm in the Woodleigh district to Bertha and Laughlin Miller. They lived there for a year before the family moved to a farm in the Riga district.

Cliff was the oldest of four children. His siblings are Bob, Ken and Lorna.
Cliff spent his youth hunting, fishing, and horseback riding.

In fact, with Cliff being the eldest, he was responsible for hitching the horse and buggy for his siblings and the neighbor kids to attend country school.

Cliff attended high school in Moosomin. He finished Grade 10 and returned to the farm to work with his Dad. Cliff loved the farm and was proud that his family settled and farmed the land since 1884.

In 1967, he married Beth Hayhurst of Wapella. Together, they had four children: Brenda (Kelly), Carol (Les), Glen, and Jacquie (Calvin). Cliff lovingly adored his eight grandchildren: Matthew, Andrew, Jonah, Michael, Tara, Carter, Evan, and Allyson.

Cliff had many hobbies. These include rock collecting, photography, being in nature, watching wildlife and birds. He was an avid reader with preferences of military and Canadian history.

Cliff enjoyed his community and neighbours and he was always willing to help out when needed. He was a member of many boards including Fairmede Ag Society, Rocanville Wildlife and of course the Moosomin Armoury.

Cliff was also a supporter of many churches, but the one closest to his heart was Earlswood.

For Cliff, his wife, children and grandchildren were what he loved the most. Followed by the farm and the lake.

Cliff loved living in Moosomin. He believed it was important to support local businesses, and he felt truly blessed with living in such a great community.
Cliff was a hard working, honest, and kind man whose integrity was second to none.

On May 23, 2026 Cliff passed away post surgery at Regina Pasqua Hospital.

He will be missed by all who knew him. May he rest in Peace.

A celebration of life will be held at the Armoury on June 27th at 2 pm.
