Bea Middleton passed away peacefully in Moosomin on July 15, 2014 in her 101st year.

Bea married John Middleton on December 30, 1933. They resided in Beatty, Sask. where they raised their family of Jean, John, Don and Karen. In 1975 they retired and moved to Saskatoon, Sask.

Their move to Moosomin in 1982 was a great move for them. They had many happy years here. Bea spent countless hours volunteering in the music field. Two of her great joys were playing the saxophone with the Moosomin Good Company Band under the direction of Shorty Avann, and the other was her group "Bea and the Boys." Another highlight for her was receiving the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal in 2000.

Jack passed away in 1998 and was greatly missed by Bea.

Bea is survived by her four children: Jean (John) Ross, John (Geraldine) Middleton, Don (Colleen) Middleton and Karen (Glen) Harper. Also surviving Bea is her sister Frances Jordan, 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Bea’s life was held in the Moosomin Baptist Church on Monday, July 21, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Mel Konkel officiating. Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Wa Wa Shrine Patient Transportation Fund in memory of Bea.
