Irene Cowan passed away in Calgary on December 10, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
Irene and her husband Cliff farmed in the McAuley area up until 1972 before moving to Calgary.
She is survived by her daughter Rilla; sons Warren and Brent; grandsons Shane and Ryan; and great-granddaughters Harlow and Georgia.
