
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend Reinhold (Ron) Schmidt at the Southeast Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin, Sask. on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the age of 84.
Ron was predeceased by his parents Wanda and Rudolf Schmidt; his wife Cora; second wife Mary; sisters Olga Onofriechuck, and Gertie De’Athe; and brothers Ewald and Oscar.
Left to cherish Ron’s memory are his loving family, daughters Judy Campbell (Byron) and Janice Crossman (Elmer); grandchildren Tyler Campbell (Erin) and Amy Campbell; his brothers Eric and Ken (Doreen); sister Adeline Morris; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as extended family and friends.
Ron will be remembered as a strong, caring man; never one to complain and always one to help others. He was very appreciative of all the Home Care workers and the residents of Sterling Manor for the kindness and support. He was a very special man and will be missed by his family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Friday, July 31 at 1 p.m. at Wapella United Church, Wapella, Sask. Memorial tributes may be made to the Wapella United Church in memory of Ron.
