
Jeanne Alice Marie (Fenez) Huberdeau, 91 years old, of Birtle Personal Care Home, formerly of St. Lazare, died peacefully on September 22, 2015.
Jeanne was born at Ste. Agathe, Man. to the late Martial and Malvina (Péloquin) Fenez on June 15, 1924.
On May 25, 1946 she married Louis Huberdeau (1997) of St. Lazare. Together, on the family farm, they became the proud parents of eight children: Lorraine (Ivan) Tremblay, Gisèle (Ron) Maître, Jacinthe (Gérard) Balcaen, Denis (Zoé), Ronald (Joanne), Adrien (Marcie), Claude (2010) (Shannon), and Léonne (Ken) Henderson.
She leaves behind her siblings Thérèse Lemoine, Emilien (Marie-Thérèse) Fenez, Alma Lagassé and Colette Huberdeau as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was extremely proud of her 28 grandchildren and had the pleasure of getting to know her 36 great-grandchildren. Jeanne was devoted to her community and her parish. Family and friends were Jeanne’s passion and delight. She loved to host and entertain huge gatherings.
A funeral mass was held on September 26.
Donations may be made to the Birtle Personal Care Home – Pallitive Centre or Club Fort Ellice, St-Lazare.
