Joyce Marion (Byers) Smith

Joyce was born February 22, 1940 near McAuley, Man. to Johnny and Lillian (Stewart) Byers.
She attended McAuley school. Upon completing her education, she worked in the telephone office, before taking a hairdressing course.
She married Art Reisdorf and lived in Welwyn, Sask. She did hair in Welwyn and Rocanville. They moved to Regina and later to Delta, B.C. where Art passed away leaving her to raise their four children.
Joyce was predeceased by husband Art, father Johnny, mother Lillian, son Luther, brother Jack. She is survived by daughter Melody (Tim), Harmony (Jason), Sym (Ken), son Gord (Tracey), husband Wallace Smith, sister Judy Sens, brother Garth (Bonnie).
A celebration of Joyce’s life was held at Surrey, B.C. on November 4, 2016.
A graveside service will be held at McAuley Cemetery on September 21 at 2 pm with refreshments to follow at the McAuley Cafe. Friends and relatives are welcome to attend.
