It is with broken hearts that we mourn the tragic loss of our beautiful, precious Lisa.
After a brief battle with a terrible illness, she fell asleep in death on February 18, 2019 in the Intensive Care Unit at Grace Hospital.
Lisa is survived by her son Brent, step-son Nathan, and husband Joel; her beloved parents Harold and Faith; her two brothers, Chris (Melody) and Mike (Heather); and three nieces, Jasmine, Sienna, and Elodie. She was predeceased by her sister Shelley in 1989.
Those who knew her well will remember her for her expressions of kindness, always thinking of others and acting on their behalf. She had empathy and compassion toward those in need, and her caring heart moved her to help in any way she could.
Lisa had a passion for photography, sewing quilts and doll clothes, playing Scrabble with Nana, exploring the prairies with Papa, and baking delicious desserts for her family. She loved all animals, especially her cat Mooney.
The family would like to thank the surgeon, doctors, and nurses who took wonderful care of her.
Lisa’s favorite scripture, which she shared with others during their moments of distress, was Psalm 34:18: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” We certainly draw upon those words of comfort at his time.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 2, at 7 pm, at 227 Lakewood Blvd., Winnipeg, Man.
