Val passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 28, 2019. She was born on January 21, 1938 in Regina, Sask.
Val will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter Brenda, son-in-law Darren Higgins; Grandson Jason and wife Taneeka and granddaughter Alli Higgins.
She was predeceased by her husband Art; parents Paul and Frieda Hafner; brother Lawrence Hafner in infancy; brother Morley; sister-in-law Lucy Hafner; nephew Bruce Hafner.
Val grew up on the farm at Red Jacket, Sask. and graduated high in Moosomin, Sask.
For years Val worked at Howes Bakery in Moosomin and upon moving to Regina worked for Pioneer Life and MacPherson, Leslie & Tyerman Law Office.
Val and Art were married on December 18, 1982, at which time Val returned to farm life until 2010 when they retired to White City, Sask. As you plant your spring garden remember Val with love as she loved her garden.
A celebration of Val’s life was held May 2, 2019 at Broadway United Church.
