Dorothy passed away at Moosomin Long Term Care on August 7, 2020 at the age of 97 years.
Dorothy was born on February 8, 1923 at Hardy, Sask. She was the third child born to Melvin and Alice Harrison.
She started school at Mountain View School and finished her schooling in Ceylon.
After graduation Dorothy moved to Cobourg, Ont. It was here she met and married Jack Silverthorn.
Dorothy enjoyed dancing, playing cards and camping. She enjoyed taking bus trips to the casinos. She was usually very lucky!
Dorothy worked in a grocery store until her retirement.
After retiring Dorothy and Jack spent winters in Texas and Arizona.
Later they moved to Moosomin to be closer to family.
Dorothy is predeceased by her husband Jack and son Gary.
She is survived by two grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren also numerous nieces and nephews.
A public graveside service was held at South Cemetery, Moosomin on August 20 at 2 pm.
