Margaret Magdeline Baczuk (Mezaros) was born on the farm south of Kipling, Saskatchewan on November 11, 1928. Margaret passed away peacefully in the Kipling Integrated Long Term Care Home on April 1, 2024 at the age of 95.
Margaret grew up on the family farm. In November of 1951, Margaret married Andrew Baczuk and they settled onto their own farm in the District of Bender, Saskatchewan.

Margaret thoroughly enjoyed her years of working at the Kipling Bakery and the Kipling Motor Inn. She proudly baked and decorated many cakes and truly was the best cook of Hungarian and traditional foods. She loved every minute of it and more recently, when her physical health became a barrier, she offered her supervisory skills.

In June of 2003, Margaret and Andy retired from the farm and moved into town.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband Andrew Baczuk; son Bart Baczuk; parents Andrew and Louisa Mezaros; mother-in-law and father-in-law Andrew and Elizabeth Baczuk; sister and brother-in-law Ethel and Benny Balog; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary and Harold Suthans; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Helen and Chester Bodnar and Les and Mary Baczuk; brother-in-law Alec Harsanny and other close relatives.

Margaret is survived by her children: Darlene Baczuk, Debora (Bill) King, Bob (Darcy) Baczuk and Barry (Cindy) Baczuk; her sister Dorothy (Wallace) Heaton; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Isabel and Donald McCoy; sister-in-law Emma Harsanny; her grandchildren: Kelly (Greg) Valentine, Ashley (Brock) Rybotycki, Bill King Jr, Tracy King, Rachael (Dan) Henry, Kalub (Brianne) King, Jake Volk, Paige Volk and Justin (Bekkie) Duarte and her great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Isabella, Adelynn, Luca, Alan, Kyler, Karter, Kooper, Emiliah, Wylee, Oskar and Kabrey. Margaret is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Our family expresses a heartfelt thank you to all of the staff of the Kipling Integrated Health Care/Long Term Care for the exceptional care and friendships provided to mom during her residency.

The funeral service will be held in Kipling United Church on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1 pm with Wayne Lewis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Margaret requested donations be made to the KIHC Recreation and Activities Department. If you wish to donate, a collection box will be made available at the luncheon on the day of the service.
