Marian Elizabeth Perreault passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 at the age of 101 years in the Southeast Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin with family by her side and family in spirit.

Marian was born on a farm near the village of Spy Hill to parents from England who had never farmed prior to immigrating to Canada. Needless to say, learning to handle oxen to plant fields, etc. had to have been an interesting experience. She grew up in an era that children today would not be able to fathom, and saw many changes throughout her 101 years. When she finished school, she married John L. Perreault of the Oak Knoll district near Rocanville. Together, they raised five children, Ronald, Gloria, Therese, Henri and Dwayne, not an easy task in the 30s, 40s and 50s.

Marian was never a complainer, and took each day as a gift to enjoy. She was a very sociable lady and kept life interesting. A beloved granddaughter said it all, “Never a boring moment with Grandma P” as the grandchildren referred to her. She loved jewelry, shopping at the Thrift Store, crossword puzzles, reading, dancing and playing favorite hymns on the piano. She enjoyed riding her bike into her 80s. Marian always made sure her outfits were co-ordinated which was a delight to the staff and residents in Long Term Care.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Perreault, an infant son, her daughter, Therese, her son Dwayne, her granddaughter, Tracy, grandsons, Trenton and Kevin. Also gone before were her parents, Thomas and Anne Barnard, one brother and three sisters, daughters-in-law, Jean and Paula, sons-in-law, Gerry and Vernon, and grandson-in-law, Glen. Together with her many loved ones, Marian is at peace.

Left to mourn her loss, her children, Ronald (Bonnie) Perreault, Gloria Miller, and Henri (Imelda) Perreault, and friend, Karen Miller; her grandchildren, Ken (Adele), Kelley, Barbara (Doug), Jeannette (Brad), Darren (Deborah), Michael (Melanie), Regan (Norman), Michelle (Curtis), Darci, Shawn (Heather), Tanya, Michael (Tracy) and Steven; her great-grandchildren, Charity (Greg), Kristen, Jason (Jalisa), Derek, Dustin, Lindsay, Max. Morgan, Noah, Halle, Ryan and Laine, and her great-great-grandchildren, Ava, Rowan, Mack, Casey, Olivia and Penelope, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Marian’s life will be held at a later date.

It is with grateful hearts and appreciation that our family wishes to thank Dr. Kerkoff and staff for the loving care, compassion and support that was shown to Mom while a resident of the Southeast Integrated Care Centre in Moosomin. To all family and friends, thank you for your kindness, visits, phone calls, messages, lovely cards, prayers and food.

God looked around his garden
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this Earth,
And saw your tired face.
He put His arms around you and
Lifted you to rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering,
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on Earth again.
He saw the hills were hard to climb,
So, He closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered “Peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
